Scott Dwire

Scott Dwire received his BA in Environmental Conservation at the University of Colorado.  He worked in Vail, Colorado and in Park City, Utah designing and building earth sheltered and energy-efficient homes. His appealing home designs incorporate energy efficiency and environmentally responsible materials, and received awards for their performance and innovations. In addition to partnering with Bill Brechbill to start PCR (Planet Conscious Resources), a general contracting company that builds or remodels both residential or commercial projects, his ongoing commitment and involvement in green building includes serving as the Chairman of the Education Committee and the Leadership Committee for Build Green Utah for two years, and as an invited speaker for the Salt Lake Sustainable Building Conference.  He has held numerous seminars and training sessions for the public and building professionals to increase awareness and proficiency in sustainable building practices.  Scott received his LEED-Accredited Professional designation from the US Green Building Council, Green Building Professional from the National Association of Home Builders, and constantly seeks to maintain his status as a leader in the green building community.  His general contracting company completed several Build Green Utah certified remodels and is expecting a LEED-for-Homes certification for one of their newly constructed homes.

His involvement in the environmental community extends well beyond the building arena as he is currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors for Friends of Great Salt Lake which is a 501(c)3 dedicated to education, advocacy, and research on the Great Salt Lake.  He was named volunteer of the year by The Nature Conservancy of Utah and has dedicated his time and efforts to the preservation of natural areas throughout the state.
